Player Requirements Veteran D&D player? OK! New to RPGs and want to see what this "D&D thing" is all about? Great! The Adventure: Castle Gargantua A grotesque gothic horror megadungeon! There's nothing much left of its original riches and most of its legendary monsters have been dispatched by past heroes. An awful lot of adventurers and bandits still roam the castle halls, lingering Chaos magic has turned harmless critters into gruesome gigantic creatures, and those who enter often never return. So why go? You know something no one else does ... you know a secret about Castle Gargantua!
The Game: Old School Dungeons & Dragons Running a modified version of Mentzer Basic/Expert D&D for fast play. Stats are 3d6 in order, everyone is human, 4 classes to start, and tons of advancement options for characters that make it to 2nd level! This is old school D&D where characters bite the dust regularly, henchmen are hired fodder, things get a bit gonzo, and the story is the one the players create while playing. Each foray into the castle is a stand-alone session, everyone shares the same map, and loot is finders keepers.
