About Last Hope K9 Rescue
As a private, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Last Hope K9 Rescue relies completely on donations and fundraising abilities to operate. Only through the generosity of donors like you is LHK9 able to continue saving abandoned, neglected, and abused dogs from high-kill shelters.

The rescue doesn’t discriminate on the basis of age, pre-existing medical conditions, or breed, because every dog deserves to know love! As the literal “last hope” of the dogs they serve, fosters save homeless dogs and puppies from shelters and welcome them into foster homes, where they receive care and attention until cleared for adoption. Their team of volunteers works tirelessly providing loving foster homes, processing adoption applications, hosting virtual adoption showcases, facilitating virtual home & reference checks and ensuring that each dog is placed within a stable, loving adoptive home. As a 100% volunteer-run, foster-based organization with no physical location, LHK9 has no costly salaries or office overhead and your donation is guaranteed to go directly toward saving lives.

Not all dogs come to Last Hope in good health, many require heartworm treatment, surgery or other veterinary care; some dogs will need specialized training or supplies; yet no dog will be turned away due to their related costs. While the cost to save each dog can vary greatly, the adoption fee collected upon a dog’s adoption goes toward offsetting the costs involved in providing care for each pup. Alone the fee barely covers the cost of a young healthy dog, but together with donations, LHK9 has the means to rescue, spay/neuter, vaccinate, transport and prepare the dogs for placement into a forever home. Every dollar donated to Last Hope K9 Rescue helps support medical treatments and procedures, training programs and care while in their foster home, ultimately giving homeless dogs a second chance.
