About the Beneficiaries:
Within every community, there are heroes walking among us posing as ordinary people. We are proud
to say that we have two such people in our community of Peabody.
Lifelong Peabody resident Kendra and her husband Jim are in the process of expanding their couplehood
to parenthood by adopting four beautiful sisters ages 9, 8, 2 and 1. Yes, you read that right – FOUR!

Yet Jim (a dedicated firefighter) and Kendra (a paramedic, now at home with the 4 children) do not consider themselves heroes, in fact, they feel like the luckiest two people on earth. They are joyfully juggling their many new parental duties – and despite the challenges of COVID.

The two older sisters are catching up academically now that they are in a permanent, nurturing home. They have missed a lot of schooling in their formative years due to past family issues, and had some disruption in schooling while they were in temporary foster care. So they attend tutoring at Sylvan Learning Center, are fully committed, growing in confidence and are making great strides. The tutoring expenses are very high, but the results so far have been very much worth it. Sylvan Learning Center also provides the girls consistency in their tutors - which is crucial as they learn to expand their skill building of safe relationships with other trusted adults.
Proceeds from this Trivia Night will be used to help pay for the girls’ tutoring for the rest of this academic year.
